Please note some months the wine tour is arranged for the day after the safari finishes. Do then allow some overrun on your safari particularly as there is so much to enjoy and explore in and around Cape Town.
Remember we arrive in Cape Town on the last day of the safari. Cape Town is a fascinating city with so much to offer - head out on a wine tour, visit Table Mountain, Robben Island , The Cape of Good Hope Reserve, take a shark dive and explore some fascinating museums. Most clients then leave a few days at the end to relax in Cape Town as well as to enjoy the many sites there are to see in and around this beautiful city.
Please note safari itineraries are given as a guide only. A safari is a journey and true journeys in Africa unfold and are of an adventurous nature. The unexpected can arise, so do allow for this.
We have chosen this overland tour because this local partner has been in the overland industry for over 30 years. They only use qualified and passionate tour leaders with a big love for Africa and the love their job. They use good materials (truck, tents and cooking equipment) and they are NOT a big corporate company where you end up being a number instead of a person. They try to travel as sustainable as possible, how they will explain during your trip or read about it on our website.
African Travels, specialist in group tours to Africa
The founders of African Travels (born and raised in Africa) have worked on overland tours through the whole of Africa. With a background as tourleaders on African overland tours we give honest and independent advice. It matters to us that you are travelling with like minded people. A small group tour is more popular with the 40 crowd and a camping tour with 22 passengers is more popular with the 20-30 travellers, keen for a party. We only work together with our personal network who we built over the last 30 years.
We offer a price beat guarantee. Have you seen the same tour somewhere else cheaper? Let us know at the time of booking your tour and we give you the same rate. Only applicable at the time of confirmation. Due to the ever changing exchange rates we cannot adjust all our prices on a daily basis.
When arranging flights do remember we leave The Falls on the first day of the safari so arrive a day or two early to allow time to see the spectacular Victoria Falls and enjoy some of the many adventure sports on offer including white water rafting, the gorge swing, a sunset cruise and lion walks. The truck arrives in The Falls 3 to 4 days prior to departure and you are more than welcome to join us during this time.
