Excited to elevate your running?

Join a two-week training camp in Iten, at 2400m altitude in the famous Great Rift Valley in Kenya. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned runner, you will feel inspired by the stunning nature, the Kenyan running ethos while harvesting the benefit of training at altitude. Organized by the  2400mrunclub.

Two weeks of transformation

The Kenyan training week for road runners has been tried and tested by the best in the world. A varied training week including Track Tuesday, Fartlek Thursday and Saturday Long Run.

Our Programme Director Lornah Kiplagat will make a tailored program catering to different athletic abilities, inspired by the typical Kenyan training week.

If you are interested in extending your trip to explore Safari, we have added an add on for the group to join one of an fully organized 4-day extension to the Nakuru & Masai Mara or Amboseli National Park. If you have any specific wishes, please chat with us!

The Facilities

Upon arrival at Eldoret Airport, everything will be taken care of.  At Lornah Kiplagat’s High Altitude Training Center (HATC) you will have farm-to-table food, peaceful accommodation, a fully-equipped gym, a 25m pool, a sauna and above all you will meet runners, from Kenya and allover the world.

Why Iten?

The Great Rift Valley has been renowned as the indisputable running Mecca of the world. Since producing world record-breaking athletes like Eliud Kipchoge and David Rudisha, professionals from all around the world spend 3-6 months a year here.

Yet Iten remains mysterious. Whether it is the altitude, the food, genetics, the Kenyan running ethos, the camaraderie – many hypotheses exists.

Then there is the 2400 meters of altitude. Training at altitude is the easiest way to increase your natural aerobic capacity to process oxygen in your blood cells.

Regardless of your athletic ability, there will be something for you to learn and experience from this unique place.
