Itinerary

Day 1, 2, 3Cape Town

Your start your journey in Cape Town, also known as the Mother City. Upon arrival you will be welcomed at the airport and taken to your guesthouse. The next morning you will be taken to the car rental depot in the centre of Cape Town for collection of your rental vehicle.

Explore the many attractions on the hop-on-hop-off bus, take a drive along Chapmans Peak, visit cape Point, the V&A Waterfront, the penguins at Boulders Beach or take a stroll on one of the many breath-taking beaches! The active amongst you could try to climb Table Mountain, or hike one of the many trails. Soak up the vibes of this amazing city, it never disappoints!

Day 4Hermanus

Rake the beautiful R44 coastal road to Hermanus. You could stop on the way ad visit the penguins in Betty’s Bay! Hermanus is famous for its annual visit from the Southern Right whales. These massive gentle creatures come all the way here to give birth to their young. They can often be seen from the shores, an amazing view!

Hermanus also has its own wine route and a beautiful beach! No reason to get bored here at all!

Day 5, 6 Stellenbosch

Continue your holiday towards the beautiful cape winelands. Here you can enjoy some of the worlds best wine tasting in the area. Drive around and visit various wineries while enjoying the stunning landscape as well. The historic centre of Stellenbosch, a cosy university town is also definitely worth a visit! A day tour wine tasting by car or bicycle is an option, ask us for assistance!

Day 7Oudtshoorn

After breakfast, you will continue your journey via the very scenic R62 road towards your next destination; Oudtshoorn. Famous for its ostrich farms, this Klein Karoo town offers good old-fashioned hospitality and plenty of things to do.

Day 8, 9Knysna

Knysna has a stunning lagoon. There is plenty to do here; Go for a sailing cruise or whale/dolphin cruise, visit the many shops at the Waterfront, visit the nature reserve, play a round of golf on one of the amazing courses in the area, visit the Knysna Elephant Park or have cocktails after an oyster tasting at the Project Bar on Thesen Island!

Day 10Storms River

Storms River Mouth is a beautiful location on the coast. Enjoy the amazing scenery, go for a walk, a canoe trip, float in the river on a lilo or conquer the highest bungy jump in South Africa from the Bloukrans bridge!

Day 11, 12Addo Elephant Park

You will travel along the magnificent Garden Route towards Addo. Your accommodation is nearby the park. You can drive through the park yourself, or – if you prefer- you can book a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle. We will happily assist with this.

Day 13, 14St. Lucia

In the morning you drive to Port Elizabeth Airport, where you hand in your rental vehicle and take an in-land flight to Durban. After collecting your rental vehicle, you drive to St. Lucia and spend the next 2 days exploring the town,or have a swim at Cape Vidal! Isimangaliso Wetland park is definitely worth a visit too!

On day 2 we will book you on a Hippo&Croc cruise on the lagoon.

Day 15, 16eSwatini

Today you will cross the border into Swaziland. The lodge will help you to arrange some local activities. You will see that Swaziland has a completely different vibe to South-Africa and the people are extremely kind and friendly.

Candle factories, craft markets, nature reserves, no need to get bored here.

Day 17Southern Kruger

After breakfast, you will continue your journey back across the border into South Africa, to the magnificent Kruger Park. The next few days offer you have the opportunity to explore the Kruger Park yourself, see if you can spot the big five! You can also book some organized game drives. The camp where you will be staying has a restaurant and a shop.

Day 18Central Kruger

Drive to Satara camp, your drive there is your game drive for the day! This camp also has a restaurant and shop where you can get supplies.

Day 19, 20Kruger Private Reserves

Leave in the morning for Sabi Sand, one of the most renown game reserves in the country, well known for the regular leopard sightings. Your final two days in the African nature. Enjoy once again the stunning location, the African wildlife and the passionate guides who will take you on various activities.

Day 21Panorama Route

After your last game drive and breakfast you will travel towards Sabie, Spend today on the stunning Panorama Route and enjoy the various magnificent viewing points!

Day 22End of itinerary

After breakfast you can drive back to the airport of Nelspruit or to Johannesburg. This is the end of an unforgettable journey!
