The Seychelles is an archipelago, located in the Indian Ocean. This archipelago, which consists of 115 bigger and smaller islands, is a true paradise. For many people the Seychelles form the closure of their safari trip, which took them through one or more of the many wildlife parks on the African continent. The most imporant island is called Mahé. This is also the island where the capital is located: Victoria. You will most probably arrive here by plane, as the international airport is located on this island as well. This island therefore forms the kick-off when you’re going to hop to a few other islands. There is a direct flight from London tot he Seychelles, which will take you there within 10 hours!
There are many things to do on Mahé. You can visit a tee plantation for example, you can take a dive and/or snorkeling class or you can visit Morne Seychellois National Park, which is excellent for walking. An amazing place to enjoy the nature Mahé has to offer. Besides those activities, the Seychelles are mostly known for its beaches and those can be found in large amounts.
The climate at the Seychelles completes it as a tropical destination. There is sunshine throughout the year, but there can be rainfal every day. The heaviest rainfall can occur between November and March.
