Tour Details

This Women Empowerment Safari is an extraordinary nine-night journey through Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, where you’ll stay at three of our exceptional Experiences. This safari shines a spotlight on women’s empowerment initiatives in the local communities.

Discover the African Bush Camp Female Guides Program, a trailblazing initiative for equality in the safari industry. Local community members have the opportunity to be trained in travel, tourism, and hospitality, with no previous experience required.  Learn traditional singing, dancing, and basket weaving with the women of the Vuche Vuche initiative, all while supporting local artisans in their craft. Visit the women-led Maunga Clinic, gaining insights into advancing health equity in remote communities. Connect with the Dete Community, where women spearhead small businesses, such as fashion, jewelry-making, and sustainable projects like the Mambanje Community Garden.

Join us in making a real difference. Let’s continue to share and conserve Africa, together.

For each booking, USD 5,000 goes directly to the African Bush Camps Foundation to support the training, uniforms, and certification of a Female Guide.  They aim to train 25 Female Guides by the end of 2025.

Highlights

Linyanti, Botswana

Linyanti, located in northern Botswana, is a breathtaking region celebrated for its remote wilderness, rich biodiversity, and luxurious safari experiences. Part of the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, it lies adjacent to Chobe National Park and near the renowned Okavango Delta, making it a premier destination for nature enthusiasts.

The area’s scenic beauty is unparalleled, with the Linyanti River and its surrounding wetlands creating a dynamic landscape of water channels, lagoons, and riverine forests. This diverse environment supports a remarkable variety of wildlife, including large populations of elephants, particularly during the dry season when they migrate to the river for water. Other notable species include lions, leopards, wild dogs, buffalo, and various antelope, while birdlife flourishes with vibrant species like the African skimmer and carmine bee-eaters.

Victoria Falls – Victoria Falls has been called “the greatest known curtain of falling water”. The Falls borders on Zambia and Zimbabwe, and can be viewed from vast distances from both sides. Columns of spray can be felt from miles away as 546 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge.

Hwange National Park – Hwange carries 105 mammal species, including 19 large herbivores and eight large carnivores. The big five can all be found in Hwange, as well as many other predators. The populations of wild dog and elephant are thought to be among the largest surviving groups in the world. Large concentrations of zebra and giraffe can also be found.
