Your start your journey in Cape Town, also known as the Mother City. Upon arrival you will be welcomed at the airport and taken to your guesthouse. The next morning you will be taken to the car rental depot in the centre of Cape Town for collection of your rental vehicle.
Explore the many attractions on the hop-on-hop-off bus, take a drive along Chapmans Peak, visit cape Point, the V&A Waterfront, the penguins at Boulders Beach or take a stroll on one of the many breath-taking beaches! The active amongst you could try to climb Table Mountain, or hike one of the many trails. Soak up the vibes of this amazing city, it never disappoints!
On day 2, it is a short taxi drive to the centre of cape Town, where you collect your rental vehicle. Reception can assist with booking a taxi.
After breakfast it is time to check out and continue your trip, next destination is Hermanus
Hermanus is a lovely coastal town in the Western Cape, famous for its own wine route and the yearly visit of the Southern Right whale (Between July and November) who come here to give birth to their calves. Enjoy a boat trip on the ocean in search for these magnificent creatures!
The Hermanus Wine Route “Hemel and Aarde”, has around 17 wine farms, where you can taste magnificent wines! Some of them have some amazing restaurants where they serve fantastic food!. A long walk on the beach or hike in the nearby nature reserve are also options to consider.
Hermanus also has 2 lovely golf courses for those that are interested!
It’s time to visit the next area that is famous for its amazing wines and food; the Robertson Wine Valley. Located along the beautiful R62 route, this is a great place which a bit less touristy. Your stay is on a wine estate, with a lovely garden and stunning surroundings!
You continue your journey to the quiet place Tulbagh. This town is also situated in the Breede Valley and Tulbagh has its own wine route, consisting of some well-known wine farms that have been owned by the same families for many generations.
The accommodation has its own wine cellar and onsite restaurant where they serve lovely food.
Stellenbosch is situated in the centre of the Western Cape and is very well known internationally. It’s a cosy university town with a lot of atmosphere, cosy lanes and it is home to over 200 wine estates. Many of them will welcome you without an appointment.
Stellenbosch is also home to some award-winning restaurants. Your accommodation is in an Old-Dutch stylish guesthouse.
The second day can be spent exploring the various wine estates in the area. If you would prefer to do a guided tour instead, we can arrange that accordingly.
After breakfast you can drive back to the airport of Cape Town, where you hand in your rental vehicle, in time for your trip back home. This is the end of an unforgettable experience!
