The best time for this tour for bird spotters would be at the end of May or in November/December.
Wildlife spotting can be done the entire year, but June to November is the best time. November can be a bit rainy, which makes the roads quite challenging at times. December should be dry again.

Dar Es Salaam – Dar Es Salaam
Any time
Upon arrival you will be welcomed and transferred to your accommodation in Dar Es Salaam.
Today your tour starts. You will be collected by your guide after breakfast.
Lunch on the road
The next day you have time to enjoy Mikumi, including a packed picnic lunch.
Travel onwards to Udzungwa where you can decide locally if you want to take part in one of the activities available.
Next stops is Iringa, where you can relax for the day at a Farm House. This is a great place for bird spotting in rural Tanzania.
In Ruaha National Park you can enjoy the game drives in the park.
Travel to Mufindi Highland Lodge. You can decide there which activities you would like to take part in.
Travel day to Dodoma.
Travel to Tarangire. Lunch is in a local restaurant on the way. This is a long travel day.
Time for safari! Enjoy a full day game drive in Tarangire NP.
In the morning you can choose between a game drive in Lake Manyara NP or another day in Tarangire NP. At the end of the afternoon you will drive to Karatu, where you will spend the night.
The next three days you will explore the Serengeti. Enjoy endless game drives. You can discuss with your guide which parts of the park you would like to visit, No day will be the same!
After a last morning game drive you will travel back to Karatu where you will spend the night.
The next morning is an early wake-up for departure to the Ngorongoro crater, you have the day to explore this unique eco-system!
After breakfast you will travel to Arusha, a packed picnic lunch will be enjoyed on the way there. There are various craft markets on the way, where you can stop and buy some local art and other items.
The next day you have the option to visit Arusha National Park with a ;local guide. This activity (game drive, bushwalk or boar cruise) is optional and can be booked at the lodge upon arrival.
Travel towards the coast, you will overnight near the Usambara Mountains.
Today you will arrive at the coast. Thex next day is a relax day, take it easy, or make a boat trip to the nearby Maziwe Island with its magnificent birdlife.
Decide if you want to take part in some additional optional activities, visit Saadani NP or make a boat trip to Lazy Lagoon Island. A visit to the well known town Bagamoyo is also absolutely worth it. The other option is to relax another day before your trip ends.
Optional visit to Bagamoyo before your guide will drop you off back at the airport in time for your flight back home.
