Budget Overnight Boat Safari

A true remote and relaxing experience

BUDGET OVERNIGHT BOAT SAFARI

The budget houseboat safari experience. Sleep on top of the roof while staying at the shores of the Chobe River. During the day you sail on the river while enjoying the beautiful nature. Available as self catering or fully catered.

Chobe Classic

The pick-up (15H00) and drop-off (9H00) for this itinerary is at Kasane Immigration in Botswana. The safari boats travel up the Chobe for 30km, camping at night at a site overlooking the Chobe National Park.

Here you can enjoy the abundance of wildlife that makes this area famous. Being on the river gives a new dimension to game viewing – the animals showing an almost fearless disdain for a floating object – which allows you to come closer to a large variety of game including elephant, buffalo, giraffe, sable antelope, hippo and crocodile and many other species of buck.  Numerous bird species also add to nature’s unending display. Angling opportunities for this itinerary are limited.

OPTION: Two nights minimum, camping on the safari boat/s. *Recommended 4 people maximum per safari boat for more than two nights

Zambezi Stop-Over

On the Zambezi River game viewing is limited to hippos and crocodiles, possibly viewing the occasional elephant along the riverbanks during July to October.
