This is a wonderful short canoe safari in Zimbabwe. You will canoe see Lake Kariba, Lower Zambezi and Mana Pools National Park. You start of with a couple of days canoeing on the Lower Zambezi. From the water there is plenty of animals to spot. You finish of at Kanga Camp with walking safaris and game drives. This is an extremely good combination to experience the wonderful Mana Pools National Park and Zimbabwe’s excellent guiding skills.

CHIRUNDU TO MANA POOLS (4 Days/3 Nights)
DAY ONE (18 KM)
You will be collected on the morning of your safari at 7:30am. There will be a short briefing to summarise what the safari entails before a visit to the shops to purchase any extra drinks wanted for the trip (additional drinks at your own expense). You will be transferred to Chirundu in an open 4×4 vehicle, arriving at approximately 11:30am. Once the canoes and kit are unloaded, a safety talk and demonstration of how to paddle a canoe will be given. A packed lunch will be taken on the river. At approximately 5pm camp is set up on an Kakomarara Island with time to relax before dinner.
This morning, guests will wake up at sunrise for tea, coffee and biscuits before paddling for a couple of hours to the breakfast stop. Canoeing will resume until midday for a well-earned lunch & siesta with time to catch up on reference books until mid afternoon (depending on the weather). At approximately 5pm you will stop canoeing and set up camp on Lone Acacia Island.
Today’s programme is as per day two with the overnight camp on Trichelia Island.
This morning you will have a more leisurely start with tea, coffee and biscuits before setting off at approximately 8am. You will arrive at Mana Pools at approximately 10am to load canoes and equipment on to the vehicle for the return trip to Kariba. You will arrival in Kariba at approximately 3pm.
After check-out, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your chartered flight back to Harare, in time for your flight back home.
