LATEST ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR SOUTHERN AFRICA
Governments continue to ease travel restrictions and we couldn’t be happier! Here is a short summary of the travel requirements currently in place:
SOUTH AFRICA
Please be aware that fully vaccinated guests no longer need a PCR test to enter into South Africa.
Partially or non-vaccinated guests still need a PCR test that is not older than 72 hours at time of entry. Travellers should carry their vaccination card and the digital Covid pass (with QR Code). The rules apply to all travellers from the age of 5.
Masks are not mandatory anymore, people are however encouraged to wear them at social gatherings.
ZIMBABWE
Fully vaccinated travellers do not need a PCR test for entry into Zimbabwe.
Partially or non-vaccinated travellers still need to adhere to the same restrictions as before, a negative PCR test not older than 48 hours at time of departure.
Children under 12 years (up to the age of 11 years) are exempt from the vaccination and are also exempt from PCR tests. Zimbabwe dropped the mandatory PCR for departure, the rule of the next destination applies.
Masks are still mandatory in public places.
BOTSWANA
Fully vaccinated travellers no longer need a negative PCR test result to enter Botswana.
Travellers should carry their vaccination card and the digital Covid pass (with QR Code).
Partially or non-vaccinated travellers need a negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours at time of arrival (ideally digital/QR Code and hard copy).
Children under 12 years (up to the age of 11 years) are exempt from the vaccination and are also exempt from PCR tests.
Masks are still mandatory in public places.
ZAMBIA
Fully vaccinated travellers do not need a PCR test for entry into Zambia.
Partially or non-vaccinated travellers need negative PCR test not older than 72 hours at time of entry.
Children under 12 years (up to the age of 11 years) are exempt from the vaccination and are also exempt from PCR tests.
Masks are still mandatory in public places.
NAMIBIA
Fully vaccinated travellers don’t need a PCR test to enter Namibia.
All travellers (from the age of 5) that are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated (one shot of a 2-shot vaccine) need a negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours at time of entry.
Masks are not mandatory anymore, people are however encouraged to wear them at social gatherings.
MOZAMBIQUE
All travellers must present a negative PCR test result not older than 72 hours at time of entry.
Children under 12 (up the age of 11 years) are exempt from the test requirements to enter Mozambique. Travellers departing from Mozambique must adhere the rules of their next destination.
